A Silver Lining

The performance of gold jewellery continues to be of concern. Both 375 (9ct) and 750 (18ct) gold were significantly down again in the first quarter of 2007. Encouragingly though, silver and platinum were both up, silver by 2.5% and platinum by 1.2%. The rate of decline in overall numbers is beginning to slow. Let's hope this means we are reaching the bottom of the market.
